Biodiversity Improvement on VinPac International’s Angaston bottling site

Reducing water runoff onto the neighbouring property saw the Environmental Connections crew planting a selection of sedges and rushes just inside the boundary fenceline.

Once established these water loving plants will utilise the excess water and increase the habitat for many species of insects including dragonflies and damselflies, who rely on reeds for oviposition (egg-laying) and as a habitat for their larvae.

Additional biodiversity plantings into the watercourse adjacent will improve food and habitat resources for the birds and improve water quality into the catchment.

Smart solutions for water management and biodiversity.

VinPac International are committed to improving the biodiversity outcomes across all of their productive sites, in addition to participating in Corporate volunteering on a private property later in the year.
